Mulan Tank Top from Hot Topic

I have never done a blog post introducing a single outfit EVER~ I've seen many of my favourite bloggers doing that very frequently and I just love their photos and outfits so much, but because I'm not as fashionable as them and most of the time I just can't be bothered to dress up so well, I don't think this idea is practical FOR ME~

However, today, I'm doing it!! I seriously had no idea HOW should I do it but because I wanted to SHOW OFF my new tank top so badly! HAHAHA!!!! Sorry for the choice of word 'SHOW OFF' but that's the downright truth! Thanks to my housemate Wei Chern for taking these photos for me :3 Love u beb!

You have no idea how desperate I wanted this tank top, and you have no idea how much trouble I went to get it LIKE OMGGGGG

TADAHHHHH!!!

Mulan has always been my favourite Disney character (2nd one is Tinkerbell, under my mom's influence). I swear to god I've watched the Mulan movie for at least 30 times throughout my entire life! And it's still counting! Once in a while when I'm bored, I will turn it on and watch HAHA xD I'm quite a child at heart!

Unfortunately, unlike many other Disney characters out there, Mulan doesn't have many merchandise available in the market. Be it authentic Disney product or pirated ones which you can find literally everywhere like Mickey.

That's why I dreaded so much to get something related to Mulan.

So one day I saw DisneyLifeStylers on Instagram posted a photo of a Mulan tank top, which is the one that I wore in the photo above. It's from Hot Topic, one of my favourite clothing brands from USA. (Screw Australia for not having Hot Topic)

I asked my friend to find for me in Canada but she said the Hot Topic there doesn't carry this Mulan tank top. Thankfully, when Delyn went to LA, she happened to come across that shop and she got me this tank top at half of its original price because she bought Hunger Games' and Batman's stuffs (it was on a buy 1 and get 2nd for 50% off promotion). So it's only 10 USD!

I WAS SOOOOO HAPPY!!! LOVE YOU TO THE MAX DELYN <3

I LOVE MULANNNNNNNN <3

Honestly, I'm not really a poser, I don't know how to pose having nothing in my hands, so I took my babe Peace HAHA xD

Similar to any tank tops that I've collected throughout the years, this tank top is quite thin and pretty delicate, to the extent I don't have the heart to see it being thrown into the washing machine, so I handwash it myself and let it dry in the wind. But, it's just 10 dollars and it's MULAN and it's from Hot Topic, so it's definitely worth it (biased me)!

Because it's a little oversize for me, I wore a cropped singlet that my #trebleclef Xixi got for me last year.

I'm all about casual and comfy. So denim jeans are my best friends. I love pairing my tank tops with denim jeans and then with a pair of sneakers, and sometimes with a hoody or a cardigan and I'm ready to go ^^

Oh btw, this is also the outfit that I wore while I shot my latest vlog, watch it if you haven't HAHA xD

Mind to share with me your favourite Disney character(s)?
And do you wear cartoon graphic tees/tanks? (my friends judge me for that because they think I'm childish but I don't care LOL!)

Don't forget to check out Hot Topic! It's a really nice brand - my favourite Youtuber Christina Grimmie got many of her shirts there, that's why I got to know about this brand. They ship worldwide too. Here are the links to Hot Topic's Facebook and Website. Hot Topic is more appealing to me than LV or PRADA for me!

Going to do my assignment now. Reality sucks!

Doing my "quote to share" in photo form for today!

My Bad Habits [Vlog]

So I thought that we should just take a break from my Penang heritage series :p (I blogged about it continuously for a few blog posts, kinda RARE~)

Today I'm going to be drop dead honest and personal............Here's a vlog that I did to reveal the very TRUE side of me. I put the word true in block letters because I'm empha[SIZE]ing it sooooo much!

I'm nothing near sugar, spice and ANYthing nice~ In fact, I'm the exact opposite! I'm the annoying neighbour next door who sings in her shower and bothers the hell of out you with her guitar strumming etc...... (extras to the vlog, I didn't include this in my video)

That's why I thought it's time for yours truly to reveal what is hiding behind her mask filtered photos (there goes another truth) :/ Devastating yea? That's why people say don't believe in what you see on the net xD

There you go!

PS: Background soundtracks are all sang by the pretty Youtuber who I have been loving since 16 - KIMMI SMILES! Songs (in order): Kiss The Girl, Let It Go and I Walk With A Zombie. You guys should definitely check her out, she's amazing ♥♥

TELL ME TELL ME TELL ME..IF THERE'S ANY FACT THAT YOU CAN RELATE!!!!

At least I won't feel so Robinson Crusoe-ish as if I'm living so weirdly alone. Hey come on, there goes the saying "no man is an island" (did I even write that correctly @@), tell me I'm not alone PUH-LEA-SE!!! :p

Let me a comment here, or my Facebook, or Tweet me, or comment under my vlog, or even Instagram, TELL MEHHHHHH!!!! It makes me feel less guilty ><

On the side note, try watching this vlog above in MUTE mode. I find it funneh! xD Or maybe that only applies to me ><"

By the way, I have to pinpoint that I did this vlog as a collaboration. You all know how much I love the fact that I get to know so many amazing new friends via blogging, but because we are not in the same country, and there are some of them who I haven't met before, doing vlog collaborations with them can make me feel that I know them personally. I can see them moving and speaking and not just in 2D photos and selfies (if that's even logical?!). Click here to see my collabs with other bloggers ♥

Anyway, Kharn Yee is the blogger who did this vlog with me, she's so cute and real!! And we are from the same hometown, can't wait to date my babe out when I go back to my hometown this year end <3

Remember to check her vlog (below), and her blog HERE

I loveeeeeeeeeee the part she demo-ed the peanut eating-and-talking part! xD sooooooooo adorable!! ♥

Hopefully next time I can do a collab with Camy and Kharn Yee, 2 at the same time because we are all from the same hometown - Penang!

Okay, I'm ending this post here with a weird faces of mine!

I will be doing my very first outfit outfit post next, so stay tuned ;D If you haven't seen my other vlogs, you can check them out here!

I am attending a barista course tomorrow, I'm so excited!!!!! Finally fulfilling another thing off my 2014 resolution list! :D That's all BYEEEE~

The Mugshot Cafe, Georgetown

In conjunction with the previous blog post on 55 Cafe, I feel that I'm obliged to post an article on The Mugshot Cafe.

CAUTION: If you are looking for a legit food/coffee review, feel free to exit now because below are a bunch of insane selfies that we took in the cafe! HAHA!

This was the next destination that we headed to after coming out from 55 Cafe. In fact, we walked there from 55 Cafe under the scorching hot sun. By the time we reached The Mugshot Cafe, we were as dead as ikan masin (salted fish ==''')!!

I was too tired to even eat anything, yet I had to force myself to take photos around hahaha~ In fact, to be honest, if it wasn't for Chun Keat who was demanding for his yogurt, we wouldn't have to walk all the way there.

You'll see the front counter once you enter the door.

This is the place where you should place your order.

Because Chinese New Year was around the corner (now you guys know I've delayed this blog post for how long ><), they had those little red lanterns around.

Because of this yogurt....and I had to walk so freaking far!

They really had a huge variety of yogurts to choose from.

So after Chun Keat bought his yogurt, we went to the 2nd section of the cafe. Because this is a heritage cafe, which was converted from an old house, it's really big in the inside and the architecture is also unlike any modern buildings in our current era.

Nangka (jackfruit) yogurt that Chun Keat got for himself. I think it's around RM10 for this cup if I'm not mistaken (a little too expensive for a yogurt though)

Foolish boy showing his so called happy face upon getting his yogurt ><

I shall do a good deed to put on a slightly better photo of him so that he won't blame me if he's forever single and alone >< HAHA!

Chun Keat and I acting all stupid haha! This is an usual routine anyway, it's our obligation!

Fun fact: This guy had been my RUMOURED boyfriend for around  8 or 9 years ever since we were 8 years old until everyone grew up and stopped creating this bullshit rumour! It was a pretty funny and interesting memory though because our relationship is forever platonic even though we do intentionally flirt playfully most of the time. I just love this buddy so much!!!

Why are you soooo serious my dear? Preparing for an interview or what?!?! HAHA

Hui Tee was our primary school monitor. We used to sit together behind Chun Keat when we were 12. Then, we got into the same class during high school. We have always been close as usual.

Even though I've left them for Australia, whenever we catch up the very few times, we will still be really comfortable mingling with one another.

And I have to say, Hui Tee is the one who takes nice photos of me during our heritage trip. I COULDN'T THANK HER MORE~

I had been seeing a lot of photos with this background on FB, until I went to Mugshot Cafe, and I was like "OHHH SO IT'S THIS PLACE"

My height is not a secret anymore! HAHAHAHA!

I don't know about you, but according to Xixi, she said she THOUGHT I'm at least 165cm judging from my usual photos...Bubble burst ya! I'm short like that ><"

In case you don't know, I'm quite a HASHTAG person! HAHA!

Then I kinda went insane with endless selfies >< with stupid faces!

This is my favourite random pic!!!

Chun Keat just looked at us with that WTH face! Spot my amazingly designed power bank on the table!

That's all for today!

55 Cafe @ Lorong Stewart, Penang

From my previous blog post, I mentioned about me going to heritage cafes with my friends right? Today is another little cafe that I wanna share with you all.

Seriously...since when do heritage cafes start mushrooming all over Penang? Typically Georgetown! I suppose this is a good thing because at least nowadays youngsters (like me and my friends) wouldn't merely choose to hangout in shopping malls, we would even suggest going to heritage areas to chit chat and gossip over a cup of coffee or a slice of cake.

That day when I went on a "tourist-y" day with my primary school friends. OMG, the word "primary" made me feel so old! HAHA! Time flies! And we changed so much, physically. But I guess when we meet up together we still do crazy shit and talk a lot of random craps, so I would say that we didn't really grow up, mentally wise :p

Anyway, we went to 55 cafe that day to have our lunch and because we wanted to see 3D latte art. For your information, 55 cafe is the only cafe that sells 3D latte art....If you don't know what 3D latte art is, keep reading~ I'll show you photos soon! NYAHAHAHA!

55 Cafe is quite famous in Penang because of the 3D latte art (DUHHH~) and it serves pretty good coffee! To be honest, for someone who doesn't drink coffee in Australia (which is...me...boo!), drinking coffee in Penang is rather ridiculous because the weather is insanely hot and why on earth would I crave for a cup of coffee in Malaysia! Well, the only exception will be Genting I suppose!

Due to the fact that we were very famished, we didn't bother to take any photos of the interior of the cafe, sorry about that, I have to priotize my stomach first :p That's quite a rational argument :p

To be honest, I didn't like the food of 55 Cafe. This salmon toast thing tasted pretty weird and it's quite pricey for such portion.

Nevermind, since our main reason there was to have the 3D latte art!

I don't wanna get too dramatic over the food!

The toast was only the size of my palm! Can you see from this photo? Not enough to fill my stomach XD

Chin Yee sharing the other piece of the toast with me!

So here comes the real deal. The barista started to make the latte art behind the bar, and we rushed over to snap photos! HAHA!

At that point, I thought, wait, aren't we locals, why are we acting like tourists! HAHA

Here it is! I was sharing this with Chin Yee. Our latte!

Too cute to be drank!

Taking selca with it....and it was actually melting into the latte >< RIP my latte cat!

Hui Tee and Qi Yong's hot chocolate!

We all agreed that this piggy was cuter than my latte cat :3

I thought taking photos of food is a duty for girls only....look at this guy!

Introducing my best-est guy friend! Chun Keat! HAHAHA! Chin Yee's facial expression is so funny :p

The 3D lattes weren't really cheap, I think it's around RM14 for each cup. Since 55 Cafe is the one and only cafe selling 3D latte, the price could be considered reasonable ^^

Okay, I got to go now :p Too much assignments to deal with right now T__T I wanna cry! 900 more words and it's due tomorrow morning DOOMED!

La Vanille Pastry @ Hutton Lane

You guys know that Penang is now every famous of its heritage sites and cafes right?! Okay, I'm from Malaysia and I am from Penang - a very tiny turtle-shaped island located by the side of Peninsular of Malaysia. Doubt you can see it from the world map though! Have to zoom in!

When I went back to Malaysia earlier this year, I got the chance to finally be a tourist in Penang. HAHA! Forgive me since I've been out of Malaysia for 3 years (this year is the 3rd), that's why I am not so familiar with the new places anymore. However, thankfully my baby Jia Xin is such a big fan of Penang's heritage places. All thanks to her I gotta explore Penang quite thoroughly this time. And she kept on saying that it's kinda funny for her to bring a Penangite around Penang like a tourist! HAHA! OH~ so now I'm in the tourist category?!

She brought me to a few heritage cafes. Out of all those cafes, my all time favourite is definitely La Vanille. It's like one of the cutest places in Penang.

Technically, I don't think this is actually considered as those type of HERITAGE CAFES, but since we found it on the heritage cafes list on Google, I would like to think of it as one :p (does that even sound logical ><)

This is what you see from the outside. Screw the reflection that ruined the photo T__T

This is the look you will get once you open the front door :) Looks very cozy and cute right?

La Vanille serves cupcakes, macarons, pastry, brunch, as well as the coffee, tea and drinks. This café is origin from the founder who likes to travel from her country to the other part of the world, exploring the lifestyle of the local, experiencing the culture of the people, and enjoying high-tea at the little cafe of local. She treats her business as warm and heart-felted neighborhood café, where people can share their happiness and valuable experience with their loved ones.
(extracted from La Vanille's website! Click here for the full introduction)

Just look at the counter!!! OMG!!! It's sooooo adorable!!!!! ♥♥♥

They don't provide menus so you have to walk up to the counter and look at the blackboard and place your order there. And of course pay your bill there.

There's another "piece" of menu located at the front part of the cafe.

To be honest, I was totally blown away when I saw the prices of their food and beverages. They are not expensive at all, unlike most heritage cafes where I think they are usually very overrated.

My dear Jia Xin went to place her order and I just sat there like a boss HAHA!

Actually no...I went to take photos like mad!

Be prepared to drool in front of your pc / tablet / phone screen...Whatever :p

These are up for displays! Even display items are soooo nice!

Super cute right?

Unfortunately, we couldn't order these because these are pre-orders by other people :/

You can always call/visit La Vanille to place your orders and they can make something out specially for U!

2 photos of us waiting hungrily for our desserts!! Actually we weren't originally hungry as we came from another restaurant but those pastries were too mouth-watering looking and we got hungry once we saw them :p

YAY! Our cakes are here!!!

Finally!! I admire myself for remembering to snap a photo before eating it because I always got so blown away and the first thing I do is poke my fork into the food xD

My first red velvet cake in my life!

Jia Xin paid for me because she said she didn't get to hang out with me during my actual birthday! AWWW THANK YOU SO MUCH BABY!

ps: I told her that she should've informed me earlier so I could order all types of cakes since she's the one paying hahaha

Close up shot!

Last photos and it's gone~

Jia Xin's green tea cake

Too bad Bi Ling's not here with us because she's a big fan of green tea cakes! Come with us next time Bi Ling!!!!!!

Jia Xin's hot chocolate of the day. It was too hot for me to drink hot choco / coffee so I just focused on eating my cake :3

After that I went to took photos of the wall decos~ They are sooooo adorable.

Sorry the overuse of "adorable" but that's the only thing I could think of when I saw those things!

My favourite piece of wall deco.

Would love to have this in my room HAHA xD

It's really amazing that the owner of the restaurant put in so much effort to decorate the interior. Instead of those expensive and over-grand decorations, these cute DIY-looking ones give people the sense of home. I love every single one of them. Not only the drawings are amazing, you can tell that the owner actually spent lots of time and attention in running this place. This fact alone makes the cafe worth visiting.

I will definitely go back again to La Vanille when I get back to Penang at the end of this year. I shall bring Chanwon, Xixi, Maple and Ivy here if they don't forget about their promise to visit me in Penang! HAHA xD

I'm actually blogging on my housemate's laptop now. My laptop went insane already and I sent it to my mom's friend to repair and she said I have to reformat it T__T OMG! There goes my iTunes! Seriously, the scariest thing for the people from 21st century is undoubtedly life without technology devices! 2nd scariest will be NO WIFI! Well...they are equally deadly to some extent...That's why I haven't been updating these days T__T Wanna cry! Getting laptops to repair is so F***ing expensive in Melbourne. It's a major rip off! RM480 per hour! And god knows how long do they need to take to reformat it! I'm trying to find other solutions, or even try to reformat and reinstall it by myself. Not very confident in doing this, but I don't wanna be ripped off that way. If I eventually succeeded, please call me an IT genius *drums rolling*

Anyway, I seriously think that I deserve a thunderous applause for being so dedicated....HAHA...to that extent I borrowed my housemate's laptop just to blog WTH xD

Till next time <3
